Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old boy, made his debut match yesterday for the Rajasthan Royals, the big franchise of IPL 2025.

Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born on 27th March 2011 in Samastipur district of Bihar state, India. His father is a farmer, and his love for cricket has taken him to a place where he can play for a big franchise like IPL 2025.
His cricketing journey started from Samastipur with former Ranji player Manish Ojha.

He started playing cricket at the age of 4 in the backyard of his house, where his father used to teach him. He then joined the Samastipur Cricket Academy at the age of 9. He played his first major match at the age of 12 in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy (U-19) where he represented Bihar. At the age of 12, he played his first first-class cricket in the Ranji Trophy in 2024, between Bihar and Mumbai, where he became the second youngest player to play and the fourth youngest player in Ranji history. At the age of 13, he played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he played List A cricket he scoring 71 runs off 42 balls against Baroda, the highest score in the Under-19 Asia Cup, where he scored two half-centuries and was the Player of the Match in the semi-final.
Then came the most historic event of his life on April 19, 2025, where he received national TV coverage for the first time for the Rajasthan Royals, along with one of the biggest franchises in the IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals. Again, his dominant performance of 34 runs off 20 balls with opener batsman Yash Jaiswal shook the entire Lucknow Super Giants team.
